Answers to frequently asked questions about the conference.
Who can attend the conference?
Participation in the ICN Annual Conference 2027 is intended for ICN member agencies and invited participants. ICN member agencies will be asked to select their representatives to attend the event.
How do I register for the conference?
Participation in the conference is by invitation only. Registration details will be shared with invited participants in due course.
Will interpreting services be provided during the conference?
No. Interpreting services will not be available. The conference will be held in English.
Are dietary requirements accommodated?
Yes, we strive to accommodate dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other special diets. Please provide details during registration, especially in cases of severe allergies, so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The venue offers wheelchair access, accessible entrances, accessible toilets and lifts. For any other assistance requests, please do not hesitate to contact us.
I have already registered but can no longer attend. What should I do?
If you have already registered but are no longer able to attend, please contact the conference team by email at icn2027@concorrencia.pt.
Will the sessions be livestreamed or recorded?
Only plenary sessions may be livestreamed, provided they are not restricted to competition agencies. Further details will be provided closer to the conference.
Who can participate in the social programme?
All registered participants are welcome to join the social programme, subject to availability and any specific arrangements that may apply.
What are the visa requirements for travelling to Portugal?
Participants are responsible for ensuring compliance with the entry requirements applicable to Portugal. Depending on nationality, length of stay and individual circumstances, a visa may be required.
Participants should always consult official sources before travelling. Official visa information is available on the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa portal.
Registered participants who require an invitation letter for visa purposes may request one from the conference team by email at icn2027@concorrencia.pt. Please note that invitation letters are issued only to registered participants and do not guarantee the granting of a visa.
Can I bring an accompanying person?
Yes, accompanying persons are welcome to attend selected parts of the event. Please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Is there a dress code?
For the conference, business attire is recommended.
For your comfort during the social activities, we encourage you to wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear.
